Capsühl Linear | Matte White

Designed and made in New Zealand, the Capsühl Linear in Matte White is a custom LED pendant for interiors where the light itself should do the talking. Its matte white aluminium body recedes cleanly into white ceilings, making it the considered choice for spaces that prioritise calm and restraint over visible hardware. Available in lengths from 1.4m to 3m (custom up to 4.2m), it combines integrated uplighting and downlighting in a single, minimal form. High 95+CRI LED light render materials and finishes with honesty, making it equally at home above a kitchen island, a dining table or an architectural joinery run.

Design & Construction

The Capsühl Linear Matte White is constructed from an aluminium body with a clean matte powder coat finish. It is suspended on discreet adjustable cables (drop up to 2m) and finished with optional Oak or Walnut end caps, which introduce a natural material contrast without disrupting the overall calm of the form. Ceiling plates are available in surface-mounted or recessed profiles, in black or white. For most white-ceiling installations, the white recessed plate creates the most seamless result. Separate up/down switching is available for projects requiring independent circuit control.

Each piece is made to order at our Cambridge workshop. Current lead time is 6–8 weeks.

Choosing Your Length

As a general guide, your pendant should span roughly two-thirds the length of the surface below it. For a standard 2.4m kitchen island, a 1.8m or 2m linear typically works well. For longer runs or open-plan dining, the 2.4m or 3m options give the proportion the space deserves. Not sure? Get in touch and we'll help you spec it correctly.
