Frequently asked questions about Chandeliers & Oversized Pendants
In voids and stairwells, drop height is determined by sightlines and circulation clearance. The fitting should feel centred within the volume, not suspended too high or hanging into usable space.
Oversized pendants typically suit ceilings above 3 metres. In larger volumes, the fitting should respond to the full spatial height rather than just the table beneath.
Diameter should relate to both room width and ceiling height. In expansive rooms, undersized fittings can feel disconnected. Scale should feel resolved within the architecture.
Some oversized fittings may require reinforced fixing. Always confirm weight and installation requirements prior to purchase and use a registered electrician.
Many can, depending on canopy design and suspension type. Always check compatibility before specifying.
