Capsühl Linear | Natural Oak

Designed and made in New Zealand, the Capsühl Linear in Natural Oak is the warmest expression of the range. Where the other finishes work with metal, this one works with timber: solid oak with a natural oiled finish, crafted at our Cambridge workshop. The grain and tone of each piece is its own. Available in lengths from 1.4m to 2.4m, it delivers focused downlighting through high 95+CRI LED light, making it a natural fit for kitchens, dining tables and living spaces where warmth and material honesty matter.

Design & Construction

The Capsühl Linear Natural Oak is constructed from solid oak with a natural oiled finish. Unlike the aluminium variants in the range, the oak body is the feature, sitting visibly in the space rather than receding into it. It is suspended on discreet adjustable cables (drop up to 2m), available in black or clear. Ceiling plates are available in black or white to suit your ceiling finish.

Please note: the Natural Oak provides downlighting only as standard. Uplighting can be added as a dual circuit configuration for an additional $500. The LED driver requires recessing into a ceiling or wall cavity, so early coordination with your electrician is important. Full installation spec sheets are available on request.

Each piece is made to order at our Cambridge workshop. Current lead time is 6–8 weeks.

Choosing Your Length

As a general guide, your pendant should span roughly two-thirds the length of the surface below it. For a standard 2.4m kitchen island, a 1.8m or 2m linear typically works well. For a dining table or a more contained space, the 1.4m is a considered choice. Not sure? Get in touch and we'll help you spec it correctly.
