Ovale Pendant

The Ovale Pendant is a collaboration between Luke Jacomb Studio and Capsühl. The name derives from the vintage Italian oval lamp shades that inspired the form: a flattened oval shade that sits low and wide to pool light gently across the surface below. Each shade is individually hand-blown in Auckland, the tinted glass filtering the filament glow and allowing colour and light to work together rather than compete. Four glass colours are available, each achieved through chemical reactions during the melting process rather than dyes or colourants, meaning the colour will not fade or change with time or sun exposure. The density of the glass will cause each piece to present its colour with subtle variation, stronger in some areas and paler in others. Available in two sizes and two fitting finishes, with a matching ceiling rose and 250cm black braided cord included. Lamp not included.
