The Hashira Table Lamp by Audo Copenhagen is designed by Norm Architects, inspired by a field trip to traditional Japanese Washi papermakers. The slender cylindrical form takes its cues from the translucent fabric of Japanese lanterns and window blinds, softly diffusing light in multiple directions through a raw linen shade that emits both downward and upward illumination. The lamp is set on a solid ash base that grounds the minimalist expression. As linen thickness may vary slightly between pieces, each lamp carries a subtly individual light quality. Bulb not included.
